Childrens Play Team

Every child has a natural instinct to play, which needs to be nurtured to enable them to develop. Play encompasses children's behaviour which is freely chosen, personally directed and intrinsically motivated. It is performed for no external goal or reward (Welsh assembly government play policy, 2002). So, children choose WHAT they do, HOW they do it and WHY they do it. The children's play team organise a variety of play events during the year, these include local play days in community centres, outreach play provision and national play day. Please see website for more information.(On the homepage click on 'leisure and tourism' and then 'children's play')
