It is also now home to the world of Top Gear Enormodrome where you can see actual cars from some of Jeremy, Richard and James' most ambitious challenges and exclusive footage from behind the scenes in the Top Gear production zone.

62_palacehouse-rightside.jpgPalace House is set in glorious grounds and gardens with immaculate spreading lawns and walkways overlooking the Beaulieu River.  Formerly the 13th century Great Gatehouse of Beaulieu Abbey,it has been in Lord Montagu's family ownership since 1538.  Still lived in by the present Lord Montagu Palace House remains a  family home, but is open to visitors where the many treasures, portraits and memorabilia can be viewed.

Beaulieu Abbey was founded in 1204 by Cistercian monks on land given to them by King John. Although much was destroyed at the time of the Dissolution of the Monasteries during the reign of Henry VIII, there is still much for visitors to see today. Walk through the serene Cloisters and Herb Garden of this picturesque 13th century Abbey and view a film and an exhibition of the daily life of its Cistercian Monk founders.   Along with the World of Top Gear Exhibition, you can also see the James Bond Exhibition and Secret Army Exhibition.  Enjoy a ride on the monorail to get a great view of the Beaulieu grounds, or ride the veteran bus, a replica 1912 London Bus.  Other attractions include 'Wheels' a pod ride through 100 years of motoring history, Go Karts in the summer and mini motorised cars for the kids to  drive.  Dine in the Brabazon Restaurant or bring a picnic to eat at one of the many picnic tables or under cover of the all weather dining area.
