In a stunning location overlooking the sea and sandy beaches, you'll enjoy a great day out at the Scottish Seabird Centre with its exciting Discovery Centre, Gift Shop and Cafe with open decking over the sea.
There are lots of seabirds to be seen, including shags, cormorants and kittiwakes. The famous Bass Rock gannets are at their peak, with hundreds of thousands crammed onto this single island gannetry, described by Sir David Attenborough as "one of the wildlife wonders of the world". The first seals are starting to come ashore on the islands for the start of the pupping season in October. There have also been regular dolphin sightings all summer and otters were also spotted in the bays close to the Seabird Centre.
