From dry tundra to the bottom of the ocean, a journey through Our Dynamic Earth is exciting, fun and engaging. Whether coming face to face with an extinct dinosaur, feeling the sticky heat of a tropical rainforest or flying over glaciers in prehistoric Scotland, Our Dynamic Earth presents all aspects of the planet we live in. Population growth, concepts of time and the realities of climate change are just the tip of the iceberg - and we even have a real one of those too, sitting beneath the magical Aurora Borealis! We Are Astronomers Encounter a 360Ãº full dome film enveloping you in an international quest to uncover the secrets of far off galaxies and decipher the code of starlight. This stunning new movie provides a whole new cinematic experience. We Are Astronomers is housed inside the FutureDome, a digital planetarium where state of the art computer graphics, vibrant colours and all encompassing surround sound are employed to portray the spectacular story of chasing stars and thundering molecules. Developed in part by Dynamic Earth the film has been specifically designed to immerse you in a world of exotic galaxies and endless possibilities, charting changes and challenges in stargazing since time began.

Located at the bottom of Holyrood Road, neighbouring the Scottish Parliament and the Palace of Holyrood House, Our Dynamic Earth is an approximate 15 minute walk from the city centre (Princes Street). Dynamic Earth has its own car park located underneath the building, for which charges do apply: £3 for the first 4 hours Then £1.30 for every hour and part hour thereafter.
