Ponteland Children's Centre If you are a mum, dad, grandparent or carer of a child under 5, living in the Ponteland area, then this is for you. 

Children's Centres are the latest stage of the government's "Sure Start" initiative which aims to improve outcomes for all children to give them the best start in life.

Ponteland Children's Centre provides good quality integrated services such as health, education, community networks and Jobcentre plus to families with children under 5 in order to give every child the best possible start in life. The aim of Ponteland Children's Centre is to be the hub of early year's provisions and services for Ponteland and the surrounding communities.


Children's Centres serve children and their families from the antenatal period, through until children start reception. We offer the following services to families to babies and pre-school children:

Advice and information on local services and resources Providing access to good quality play and learning opportunities Supporting parents to access family support and health services Supporting parents who are looking for work or training Providing training opportunities A great place to meet other families

The team at Ponteland Children's Centre is committed to provide a range of activities and services that cater for the needs of the Ponteland community.

We welcome suggestions from parents and carers and consider their view points when planning and delivering both in the centre and on outreach.

Ponteland Children's Centre is open:
Monday 9.00am - 3.30pm & Tuesday - Thursday 9.00am - 5.00pm.
