Kids 1st Childrens Nursery
Kids 1st Hexham is located on Maidens Walk behind Hexham General Hospital. The nursery is split into rooms depending on age group and level of development and each room has direct access to large, well-equipped and challenging gardens which have been designed to suit the age groups that use them. In the academic year before the children are eligible for mainstream school they will enter the Kids 1st Pre-School.
At Kids 1st Hexham we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)which covers children's development and learning from birth to 5 years. The EYFS is designed to deliver improved outcomes for all children, across every area of learning and development.
Children at Kids 1st Hexham enjoy extra curricular activities such as French lessons and music and movement classes. Due to the size and layout of the nursery we have also been able to set up a Creative Studio, a Music Room and a movement area with soft play. We love to involve our parents through regular parents' social evenings, at these events you will meet with your child's key person who will talk to you about your child's development.
A complimentary 'Coffee to Go' breakfast service is available for parents every morning.

Naughty but nice Puddings!
Check out our delicious puddings, my favourite is the limoncello trifle, not suitable for the kids, but there are some other scrummy recipes that the whole family can enjoy! Take a look in our pudding section for recipes to make summer BBQ's and eating alfresco all the more tasty! My girls LOVE the chocolate pizza - making it, but mostly eating it!
Over the weekends and holidays there are always times when your children need some chill out time, or to fill an hour or so, or they say the dreaded 5 letter word - BORED! Well, our KidsZone is here to rescue you and them from these moments. Full of puzzles, colouring in sheets and activities from films and programmes there is lots to keep busy!
