Go Ape at Ally Pally!
Let your little Tarzans loose on the NEW Go Ape Tree Top Junior at Alexandra Palace

Go Ape (www.goape.co.uk), the multi award winning forest based adventure company, is swinging into action at Alexandra Palace. Big kids of all ages will be able to unleash their inner Tarzan when two high wire rope courses launch this year.

First to open on Saturday 18th March, 2017 will be their Tree Top Junior course, specially designed for younger apes. Little monkeys (who must be a minimum height of 1m) will be able to scramble around a challenging series of wobbly crossings, ‘in-tree-guing’ obstacles and climb nets 8 metres up in the tree tops. The finale is a heart thumping 50m zip wire.

A second more extreme Tree Top Adventure course for big kids of all ages (minimum age 10 years and minimum height 1.4m) will open by the summer.

Tristram Mayhew, Co-Founder of Go Ape, says: “Ally Pally has an extraordinary history of bringing new and adventurous leisure attractions to local people. It has been a beacon for London, broadcasting the best of British ideas and culture worldwide.  We are glad to be a part of that creative heritage and are delighted to be creating 35 worthwhile, rewarding jobs.”

The 196-acre park is perfect for picnics and family days out, providing some of the best panoramic views of London – taking in Canary Wharf, St Paul’s Cathedral and The dba8b21f63e35cea515d8eac9529d1ef.jpgShard.

Opened in 1873 - as an entertainments venue for Victorian London - Alexandra Palace has been at the centre of extraordinary events for over 140 years, including the first TV broadcast by the BBC in 1936. It maintains the original enterprising spirit by hosting an eclectic mix of live music, sport, culture and leisure events. Over 3 million people every year enjoy more than 250 live events within the park.

Louise Stewart, Chief Executive at Alexandra Park and Palace, says, “We are delighted to welcome Go Ape to Alexandra Park and Palace. The tree top courses add another dimension to the variety of activities and events we already offer. We are confident that it will be a popular leisure attraction and that it will be a great addition to the other activities available throughout the park and palace, making for an action packed family day out.”
