We have four courses available as part of the Autumn Term 2021 programme taking place between Sept - Dec.
All four courses can be attended either in person at the Carnegie Building in Newcastle or accessed online via Zoom. You can even do a bit of both! The Carnegie Building is accessible for wheelchair users. Courses are open to anyone living in the North East of England.
All four course tickets include a pop-up box theatre and puppet making materials packs FREE of charge.
This tailored course is aimed at complete beginners to puppetry and those with more experience. All participants will learn how to build and perform with their very own puppets! In a welcoming environment run by puppetologist Will and his trusty robot assistant ZB, budding puppet apprentices will learn how to design and make their own puppets from a range of materials in different styles. Then they will put these creations into practice by learning how to perform with them in their pop-up box theatre, which is included free in the course price along with all craft materials. Parents/guardians and friends will be welcome to attend the final session in December as apprentices perform their newly created shows to each other.
