Stagecoach Theatre Arts School, Newcastle

Over the years we have seen more than one million students unlock their potential, which is something they will value for their whole life.

At Stagecoach we teach our students so much more than how to sing, dance and act. We help them blossom into well-rounded individuals, ready to embrace life and all its opportunities.

With 30 years' experience in teaching the performing arts, we understand how to get the best out of our young performers.  We delight in seeing our students have fun, make friends, learn new skills and discover hidden talents.

We encourage them to take 'safe risks' through rehearsals and performance, which brings out a willingness to take on new challenges. None of us know what the future holds, which is why it's so important for today's children to be resilient, brave and self-assured.

Furthermore you can rest assured that your child is in safe hands as we adhere to the strictest child safety policies.

We're sure you will feel proud of your child's accomplishments and we wish you an exciting and happy learning experience the Stagecoach family.

Stagecoach Newcastle

At Stagecoach Newcastle we are now celebrating our 20th Anniversary of providing popular creative sessions for both boys and girls with lots of vibrant energy and creative imagination. This term more than three students received their 13th year certificates, having started with Early Stages moving through Main School and onto Further Stages.

Stagecoach Newcastle are proud to offer a full and rounded education, teaching life skills to build confidence and stretch imaginations through performing arts using singing, acting and dance classes.

Students have the opportunity to audition for professional performance activities and some of their recent TV/Stage Credits include 'Young Fiona' and 'Young Shrek' in 'Shrek the musical' at Newcastle Theatre Royal and a Christmas day special appearance on Downton Abbey!

Early Stages for age 4 - 6 Saturdays at Gosforth Academy & Newcastle High School for Girls, Jesmond

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage. (90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs) Friday evening, Saturdays  at Gosforth Academy & Saturdays at Jesmond

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child! (3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs) Friday evening classes at Gosforth Academy

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.
