Little Learners, Tyne and Wear
Little Learners is an exciting concept in pre-school learning devised by a qualified teacher specialising in Early Years. It is designed for children under 5 to learn through play.
Why choose Little Learners?
- CHILDREN LEARN THROUGH PLAY IN A SAFE AND FUN ENVIRONMENT.
- WE FOLLOW A FUN PRE-WRITING PROGRAM BASED ON FOUR FRIENDLY CHARACTERS!
- ACTIVITIES INCLUDE MESSY PLAY, PAINT, SCRIBBLING, PLAY DOUGH, MOVEMENT AND DANCE.
- WE PREPARE CHILDREN FOR NURSERY AND RECEPTION.
- CHILDREN RECEIVE A PERSONAL PROFILE OF GOALS AND ACHIEVEMENTS IN RELATION TO THE EYFS.
- PARENTS HAVE ACCESS TO AN ONLINE FOLDER SHOWING THEIR CHILD'S PROGRESS OVER THE TERM.
Physical development and mark making is a huge part of your child’s learning journey and is now a prime area of learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage Guidance for birth to 60 months.
Mark making is one of the outcomes of physical development. Exploring different textures, materials and grabbing various apparatus will help your child get ready for writing. Encouraging your child to use their hands, fingers, feet & toes to make marks will strengthen their core muscles and develop their gross & fine motor skills. These skills are vital for holding and controlling a pencil and for letter & number formation.
We run award-winning mark making classes, events and parties for under 5s in various locations across the North East and beyond! Click on your chosen venue below to see the classes and events that we have planned!
Our classes have been specially designed for your child to learn the basics of writing through play. Classes consist of messy play, dance, movement, paint, sand, play dough & more. Our classes often sell out so it is advisable to book. We run in 4 or 5 week terms and you can carry over any missed sessions to the next term if needed. Sometimes we offer drop in spaces where you can book and attend for 1 week as a trial.
Encourage your Little Learner to make their mark through messy play and find a class near you. Early booking is advised as our classes usually sell out! Full details of classes are on our website.
