Our beloved theatres have been knocked for six this year with countless shows cancelled. Thanks to a little help from grants and a whole lot of ingenuity from the casts, crews and staff there are now quite a few shows going ahead this December. 

Be sure to book your seats quickly as capacity is limited and demand for some good old family fun is sure to be very high! Each theatre/venue has strict rules in adherence with covid-19 restrictions. Please read the instructions on their websites. 

Jack and The Beanstalk, Boulevard, Newcastle  24th - 30th December

Jack and his mother live in a cottage in the shadow of the giant. With rent overdue they have no choice but to sell their cow. After tricking the Trotts into selling for a bag of beans, the giant's henchman kidnaps the Princess for his master.

Robin Hood, Theatre Royal, Newcastle:  19th December - 10th January

Grab your merry men and women, and get ready for a socially distanced pantomime like never before, in a sheriff-busting, arrow-shooting, tights-wearing, hog-roasting production of Robin Hood, created especially for Christmas 2020!

Jack and the Beanstalk, Tyne Theatre & Opera House, Newcastle: 18th - 24th December​​​

Climb up our socially distanced Beanstalk this December  with a GIANT of a show starring the hilarious Charlie Richmond as Simple Simon, Lewis Denny as Dame Trott and a cast of some of the North East’s best panto talent.

Polish your glass slippers, dust off your carriage and join us as the clock strikes midnight for the Fairy Godmother of pantomimes, Cinderella. Expect the usual twists and turns from wicked stepmothers, ugly stepsisters, and a host of fabulous characters! You shall go to the ball with this socially distanced, festive fairy tale treat live at The Hedworth Hall in South Shields!

Sleeping Beauty, Forum Theatre, Billingham: 19th December - 3rd January  

Sleeping Beauty will contain all of the panto fun that everyone enjoys so much but will be performed in one act lasting approximately 1 hour 15mins to 1 hour 30 mins. Customers will still be able to purchase refreshments within the theatre but obviously there will not be an interval.

SLEEPING BEAUTY is sold as a safe, socially distanced show and as such all customers booking this show should only book tickets for their own household and not extended households or groups as we have to assume that full social distancing will still be in place at that time.
