E-bike, a revolution in cycling
Why Choose an Electric Bike
Have you ever wished you could go further on your bike? Does riding up a hill terrify you? Do you wish you could ride to work but it's just a little too far? Then an electric bike could be your answer.
E-bikes offer all the fantastic health benefits of a regular bike but with the pedal assisted support from the motor when you need it. The pedal assist automatically stops at 15mph, this means there's no need for a licence. They're also great for commuting too, a great way to reduce your carbon footprint and save you money at the same time.
The Morpeth Electric Bicycle Company stocks a wide range of E-bikes from Commuting, Trekking and Off Road and we are proud to be the biggest Raleigh stockist in the North of England. Raleigh are the biggest UK supplier of E-bikes which are designed in the UK and assembled in Europe from quality components, have just launched their 2019 Motus E-bike which starts at £1650 - £2150.
With an award winning motor offering a range of up to 110 miles, it is perfect for a range of city trips, relaxed tours and weekend trails.

You'll be #Raring2go! cycling on an E-Bike!
Amy (Raring2go! Northumberland editor) and I popped in to meet owners Pete Bredael and Ian Simpson.
There's a huge range catering for lots of cyclists' requirements: whether you cycle purely for leisure or commute to work or do the school run pulling a child trailer, either way an e-bike makes your journey much easier. You still get the exercise as you would from a normal bike with added assistance as and when you need it¦.especially going uphill or keeping up with the kids as they zoom off at top speed!
After explaining how E-bikes work and the different capabilities of each type, we were encouraged to get on our bikes and see for ourselves how much fun an e-bike is to ride. Off we went into Morpeth Park for a few circuits of the very hilly terrain. E-Bikes are just like normal bikes with various gears but when you feel you need a little help, simply press a button and all of a sudden you're whizzing up a hill like it wasn't there! We had really good fun zipping about in the park and would highly recommend you take a free test ride.
The Morpeth Electric Bike Company is in the centre of town, next to the Leisure Centre carpark. Pete and Ian are very knowledgeable and would be delighted to help you discover how e-biking can revolutionise your cycling enjoyment.
