Classrooms in the Clouds Charity

Classrooms in the Clouds: Dedicated to improving education for the most underprivileged children in Nepal.

We work with our Nepalese partners to support education by:

Building good quality, new classrooms

Sponsoring teachers, supporting teacher training and encouraging employment of female teachers

Working in partnership with local Nepalese communities and international partners

Getting an Education in Nepal is a Mountainous Task

Classrooms In The Clouds is working in partnership with UK school children to raise money to build classrooms in Nepal.  This is an exciting project and will involve hundreds of primary school children supporting their peers in Nepal through some amazing and creative fundraising events.  Sponsored walks, non-uniform days and many more unusual ideas are being held to help some of the most underprivileged children in the world.  As their fundraising starts to build up they will be able to see what it will be going towards.

Dudley Schools Project:

The project was started in 2016 by schools in Dudley, West Midlands. Not only will the children in the Dudley area be fundraising but they will be learning about the way of life of the children they are supporting.

So far the Dudley Schools project has raised over £8,000 from all sorts of exciting fundraising initiatives including a 'School Triathlon', cake sales, samosa sales and the sale of wristbands.

As part of the CITC teacher exchange programme, a number of CITC sponsored teachers will be visiting the UK in June. They will have the opportunity to visit some of the Dudley partnership schools. This will be a great chance for the team to strengthen their sister school links, meet the children and give them some first-hand information about life in Nepal. It will also be an opportunity for the team to enhance their professional development by observing the teaching methods used at the schools.

Collaborative workshops will also be taking place at Liverpool John Moores University which will review educational practice in Nepal and the impact of CITC sponsored projects
