Museum of Carpet
Celebrating the 300 year old history of carpet making, the Museum of Carpet is packed full of things to do and see for all out visitors, whatever your age. Discover what life would have been like in the mills and factories that made Kidderminster’s famous floorcovering.
We’re even based in Stour Vale Mill, which was once home to carpet manufacturer, Woodward Grosvenor.
Have fun with our ‘hands-on, try out’ exhibits and activities. Why not see if you can find the mistakes in our woven carpet sample? Perhaps you’d like to have a go at hand weaving on our child friendly looms? Or maybe, you’d just like to watch our giant machines as they clatter and bang, making carpet before your eyes. Why not see if you could be a carpet designer? Have a go on our ‘design your own carpet’ interactive and see what patterns you can create.
Or if you’d prefer, why not explore the Museum with one of our trails and puzzles.

Naughty but nice Puddings!
Check out our delicious puddings, my favourite is the limoncello trifle, not suitable for the kids, but there are some other scrummy recipes that the whole family can enjoy! Take a look in our pudding section for recipes to make summer BBQ's and eating alfresco all the more tasty! My girls LOVE the chocolate pizza - making it, but mostly eating it!
Over the weekends and holidays there are always times when your children need some chill out time, or to fill an hour or so, or they say the dreaded 5 letter word - BORED! Well, our KidsZone is here to rescue you and them from these moments. Full of puzzles, colouring in sheets and activities from films and programmes there is lots to keep busy!
