Santa Train and Steam in Lights on SVR
Make this year's Christmas a special one by travelling on the Severn Valley Railway. Taking a magical steam train journey along the beautiful Severn Valley from Kidderminster. Family groups will be allowed their own apartment. Travel to Arley then disembark to enjoy the all-new Christmas show, Jingle, Jangle and the North Pole Lake.
This year, Steam in Lights features brand new narration for the exciting family-friendly experience, which begins at the magically-lit Bridgnorth station. There’s a live performance on platform 2 with entertainment from Grandma Cackler and her grandson before the dramatic arrival of the breath-taking steam-hauled train, adorned with tens of thousands of colourful lights. Santa Safari Spectacular at West Midland Safari Park
Helpful Elves will show you to a sleigh where you will be magically transported to the North
Pole and Santa’s Grotto, a wonderfully decorated log cabin with its own Christmas tree, festive fireplace and Santa himself.
Santa's Grotto at Webbs
Wander through a traditional Christmas Grotto at Webbs, West Hagley with winter scenes, surprises around every corner and the opportunity for children to meet Father Christmas in his cosy cabin. Christmas Nativity Trail at Bodenham Arboretum
From 27th November, take part in a trail looking for stars around the gardens, spotting clues along the way. See the farm animals - the stars of the nativity! You are then free to explore the 5 miles of woodland walks around the Arboretum.
The Great Christmas Present Hunt on Dudley's Canals
Christmas boat trips for families along Dudley Canals. Join Little Red Riding Hood as she helps the elves search for the missing Christmas presents. Then head off to see Santa. Gift for each child and mince pie for grown ups. Pre-booking is essential. Opens 1st December.
Christmas at the Castle
A traditional Christmas celebration awaits at Hartlebury Castle and Museum on 4th and 5th December. Immerse yourself in the annual festive celebration at Hartlebury Castle. See the halls decked for Christmas, enjoy balloon modelling and juggling, and write your letter to Santa Victorian-style. Throughout December have festive fun following the Elf Trail and enjoy the Castle dressed for Christmas.
See Santa's Cottage at Arley Arboretum
Enjoy a family festive walk around Arley Arborteum this Christmas (kids go free throughout December!) Meet Santa in his cosy cottage and post your wish list in his letterbox. £7 per child, including gift. New this year: Enjoy Tea with Santa and Mrs Claus. £17.50 per adult, £12.50 per child.
Enjoy a Victorian Christmas at Blists Hill
See Father Christmas in his grotto, chat to the costumed townsfolk about a Christmases gone by in their shops, cottages and places of work, all of which will be decorated ready for the festive season. Enjoy the sounds of a festive Brass Band. 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th December.
WILD Christmas: See Father Christmas at WILD Zoological Park near Bobbington from 4th - 23rd December. Watch a special Christmas bird show and join a wildlife handling workshop. Booking required. You can even give Santa a personal message to pass on when booking to make the experience even more magical.
See Santa in his Grotto at Scallywags. From 4th December, see Santa at Scallywags near Merry Hill. There's the chance to make a teddy bear too. Organised by Scallywags Indoor Play. Book online via the Scallywags website.
See Santa at Little Owl Farm Park in Worcestershire from 4th December. Visit Santa's grotto, receive a gift, decorate a gingerbread man and meet the animals! There are some new ways to visit this year: see Santa's grotto, either as a small family or in a group of friends allowing 5 children to see Santa together. After school sessions available too.
Wolverhampton Santa’s Grotto, Community Hub, Mander Centre, Wolverhampton. Sat 4 – Thurs 23 Dec. Entry fee includes an age appropriate present and you can take your own photo of your child with Santa and the Elves. Booking required.
Festive Forest Fun
On Saturday 4th, 11th, 18th and 20th December, follow a woodland trail to meet Santa and his elves at the Forest area at Pedmore CE Primary School. Enjoy hot chocolate and marshmallows by a roaring fire and make food for the reindeers. Email Ruth at Fruits of the Forest to book here.
Himley's Magical Christmas Portal: On arrival at the beautiful courtyard at Himley Hall, you will be asked to take your seats in the festive lit marquees, enjoy alfresco hot chocolate and immerse yourself in the show, as children get to interact with Father Christmas live from the North Pole via a large screen.
XMAS@ Lower Drayton Farm, Penkridge. Wed 1 - Fri 24 December. Join the festive adventure down on the farm! Mini Christmas at ThinkTank
MiniBrum needs decorating for the festive season and for a city designed and created by children, it only seems right to ask the children to help sort out the decorations! Activities will include festive crafts, tree decorating, decoration making and our reindeer trail. We will also be inviting a special guest to visit for the weekend to give us a hand getting ready for the festive season. Places to meet our special visitor are very limited. The Great Hall at Blakesley will be dressed in readiness for Santa At Blakesley on 11 and 12 December. Children can meet Santa at this very special Tudor family home, make a Christmas card to take home and write a letter to Santa and the elves, ready for the big day. A Christmas Market selling handmade crafts and gifts will held in the Gallery at Blakesley and festive treats will be on offer in the Herb Garden Café.

Drawing on the classic, seasonal tale ‘Twas the night before Christmas’, a grotto experience will take your little ones on an enchanting, Christmassy journey which will have them excited and ready for the big day itself.
