Moth Morning, WWT Washington

White satin, poplar hawk, nope, not a type of silky material or bird of prey – these are among the hundreds of moth species seen locally throughout the North East. That can mean only one thing… yes, our moth trap is being opened so get down and meet Andrew at the barn from 10.30am – 11.30am to talk all things moths!*

So what is a moth morning? Well, see amazing moths up close – you could even hold one if you’re brave enough! Learn about the thousands of species found locally plus there’s plenty of rare treasures to be found, including the very beautiful poplar hawk moth! This is a fascinating activity and certainly a great way to get over any fears…

This is a free activity included as part of normal admission (free to members). This activity is a drop-in session. *Weather dependant – dates subject to change last minute
