Kiko Soccer Schools: More than just Football!

Nine incredible years have seen Kiko Soccer Schools grow into one of the largest football coaching set ups in Surrey coaching 650 children per week!

Children as young as 18 months start in the minis programme and graduate through the levels until they are ready to join teams aged 7. Frank Gomez, founder of Kiko Soccer Schools, believes the success and style of play of the teams they coach are built on the technical and social skills gained at that young age, and form the building blocks of their learning and development. "We have high hopes for our under 12’s who have been with us since toddler age and are developing and learning fantastic skills” says Frank.

What started as a small venture for Frank as a house husband looking for a better lifestyle, has now proved to be a really successful business; building links with the local community and schools. And Kiko Soccer Schools have now partnered with Cobham Football Club, bringing 8 youth teams to the club. Introducing so many youth teams to Cobham FC has brought a real buzz and sense of excitement to the club. Dave Tippetts, Chairman of Cobham FC says, “The future looks very bright and we cannot wait to see our young stars developing." Frank’s plan is to eventually progress his young recruits to the senior 1st team who play in the 6th tier of the Football pyramid.

The success of Kiko Soccer Schools is based on solid values shared by all his coaches. Through expert coaching they focus on inspiring the children to play as part of a team, whilst demonstrating individual skill and flair. This is all underpinned by respect and sportsmanship to others, something which is frequently commented on. And in the last few years Frank and his coaches have also been invited to the famous Barcelona FC academy to watch the Barca graduates training !

Frank says “With our wealth of experience and coaching style the children gain confidence and through hard work can follow their dreams, at whatever level that may be. Last term 3 students aged 11 received sports scholarships having been with us since they were 4, and their parents credit our football programme as playing a big part in their boys’ achievements."

As for the future, who knows where  Kiko Soccer Schools will be with potential franchisees wanting to buy into the Kiko philosophy. This now presents a great opportunity to spread the Kiko Soccer School values and coaching to more and more children.
