Ye Olde Toffee Shoppe and Sweets International

Come along and choose from locally made quality ice cream, lollies, gifts, chocolates and ‘sweets of yesterday' such as Uncle Joes, Jakemans and Cadburys...to name a few. You are very welcome to taste before you buy. If there are any sweeties you remember from childhood that we don't stock, just ask, we'll do our best to source them from our many suppliers across the UK.
We are the only stockist in the area of American sweets and drinks - a current favourite with youngsters. Whether you've seen  Mug, A&W, Twinkies and Vanilla Coca-Cola on TV or enjoyed them on holiday this summer, we've got them  permanently in stock for your delight. Nestle's Wonka confectionery line is a favourite too. Made famous by Roald Dahl's children's book and the 2005 film, the full range of Wonka products are always a winner. Come and try our runts, gobstoppers and nerds!

Peter and Delia McGeehan the owners of “Ye Olde Toffee Shoppe” have branched out this spring by opening a new store at 43 Newport Street in Bolton. “We're extremely excited about the new store” announced Peter, “the new shop will be called Sweets International, we'll have a lot more space and a wider range of products available.” Their original Horwich store at 58 Lee Lane will remain but the Market Place shop in town will close to make way for “Sweets International.” Located at a prime town centre site near to Bolton's famous elephants, the shop will stock a wide range of sugar free, gluten free, Halal and vegetarian sweets. Also, included in the new product range will be an increased variety of English and European chocolates along side a selection of locally produced Lancashire ice creams. There are also going to be a special rooms for wedding gifts, sweet art and school visits.

Attention all schools..The Olde Victorian Toffee Shoppe Experience We can also bring your History lessons alive.Classes can visit either of our ‘shoppes' in Horwich or Bolton Town Centre any morning, to experience an unforgettable trip into the past.  We talk to the children about the history of sweets and follow up with a worksheet and questions.
