Banana and Walnut Loaf
60minutes cooking time
- 7oz Plain Flour
- 1 level tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
- 4oz Caster Sugar
- 2oz Margarine
- 1 Egg
- A little bit of Milk
- 2 or 3 Mashed Bananas
- 2 Handfuls of Chopped Walnuts
- Sieve the flour, bicarbonate of soda and baking powder
- Rub in the margarine and sugar
- Add the bananas and walnuts
- Beat in the egg and milk
- Mix well
- Pour into a lined loaf tin
- Cook until knife comes out clean (about 1 hour)
- Slice and enjoy with or without butter on.
