LET'S ANIMATES TECHNIQUES

Below are the techniques LET'S ANIMATE uses while conducting workshops:

STOP-MOTION

Stop-motion is a form of animation where objects, models or characters are moved in small stages and then photographed; when these photographs are played back the eye sees them so quickly that it gives the illusion of movement.

CLAYMATION

Models, character or objects are made from plasticine, moved frame by frame and captured in front of the camera, this can be done in a 2D or 3D way.

BRICK ANIMATION

Brick worlds and minifigure stories are used for animating, creating some great effects with Lego.

CUT-OUT

Characters, props and sets are drawn, then cut-out creating collaged scenes for animating.

PIXELATION

Human people! are moved just like puppets and captured in front of a camera, old style special effects

we're done in this way!

FOUND OBJECTS

Found objects are collected and used to build scenes for animating.

WHY ANIMATION?

Animation is a powerful process that enables, engages and develops learning through a visual and creative language for all ages groups.

Strengthening problem solving, collaboration, creativity, imaginative investigation and co-operation, whilst supporting many areas of the curriculum, maths, literacy, art, science, ICT, history, drama and media, meaning opportunities of cross-curricular learning are infinite.
