Trampoline Parks are becoming all the rage and for those of us with energetic children, we know how much fun they can be. Until now though, a trip out for trampolining meant a trip out of the area. All that has changed with the opening of Red Kangaroo at Exhall, Coventry. I took my two boys (9 and 7 years) for a bounce and this is what we thought:
First impressions are of a spacious and bright entrance, where you get your socks and wait for the safety briefing. The briefing was simple and clearly explained and once over we were ushered in to grab a locker (no change required!) and then on to enter the trampolining area.
Immediate thoughts were of how much there was to do. Yes, there was the usual open bouncing areas but in addition to that there was plenty to keep everyone entertained. The boys loved the dodgeball and football courts but we all were quite excited to have a go on the wipeout game and amazingly I wasn't the first to fall!
Added to this were several electronic games (the "cardio reaction wall"!) to get those bounces even higher; balance beams and assault course activities to challenge those feeling up to it! The jump platforms with landings into either a foam pit or inflatable pad proved firm favourites. Maybe the one thing that got the boys most excited, however, was the ninja warrior course, tucked away at the back (by that time I had retreated to the cafe with its tables overlooking the trampolines giving excellent viewing for those who choose not to bounce).
At the end of the hour, we had cries of "more!" and whilst exhausted everyone - including me! - had had a brilliant time.
[Since our visit, my eldest has also attended a party here, and the general consensus was more of the same: a brilliant park that we'll definitely be returning to!]
