The Birthday Buddy set includes a gorgeous plush birthday buddy bear. A calendar with 14 day's worth of tear off strips, and bear stickers to reward that extra special good behaviour.
This exciting pre-birthday gift will delight and excite, and will become a must have purchase for parents, family members and grandparents alike.
The birthday buddy bear is an incentive you that supports children's idea of time and learning about responsibilities. My daughter was soon to turn 4 so we used the birthday buddy bear to count down. Everyday we would look at the chart and used it to reinforce number recognition. She likes to count ea h day how many pieces if paper where left and used this to them read the number in the front card. When it came to using the stickers we kept the tasks to very simple things such as picking up toys or remembering please and thank yous. My daughter loved picking out a sticker each day and she learnt to reflect on how well she had done each task.
Buddy is very bright and colourful and would appeal to both girls and boys. I think as a child got older they could be tasked with bigger responsibilities to earn their stickers so it would suit older children as well.
Isabella still loves playing with buddy and often calls him her birthday bear.
It was a lovely thing to build excitement to her birthday and gave a tangible answer to the ever asked "How many sleeps now mummy"! Birthday buddy bear was useful, motivational and fun.
