This page is dedicated to the pupils at Allesley Primary School in Coventry.
Every year the children normally take part in an art competition, organised by their Art Leader, Mrs Joanne Shenton, and their work is shown at the local church for all to see. Unfortunately, because of the pandemic, this hasn't been possible this year and everyone has been very disappointed. To raise spirits and still allow the pupils to take part again this year, Mrs Shenton, organised a competition this year to thank key workers. The children have sent in their artwork and it has been uploaded onto the school website. The children were all keen to have their artwork shown further though. So, they may not be able to show their work in the local church but here is their amazing Key Worker Art Gallery with the names of the children attached to each piece of art.
The winners of the competition have yet to be announced but once they have, we will put the names of the winners here as well.
The school endeavours to foster fundamental values including Honesty, Respect, Perseverance, Positivity, Independence and Compassion - I think these pictures show those values well. They should all be very proud of the fantastic work that they have produced.
Do you have a favourite? I think they are all excellent - so colourful! What a great way to thank all our key workers at this time.
[Thank you to all the staff and the parents at Allesley Primary School who have given permission for this artwork to be shared with everyone.]
