Enjoy the beautiful nature and wildlife that Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens has to offer the family.
Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens is renowned for its outstanding floral displays, with plants collected from all over the world since the early 1800s, including rare ‘champion’ trees, threatened in their natural habitats.
Set in a valley, the 240-acre woodland gardens at Leonardslee offer visitors a variety of scenic walks, with seven interlaced lakes, woodlands, and parkland. There is an acclaimed Pulham rock garden which was built-in 1890. In terms of wildlife, Leonardslee has a deer park and a colony of wallabies wandering the estate.
The gardens offer a protected ecosystem for rare wildlife. This includes Emperor Dragonflies and Damselflies. White Admiral and Purple Hairstreak butterflies, and migratory and native birds – Kites, Great Tits, Tree Creepers, Nuthatches, Woodpeckers, and Nightingales.
The competition closes on 15th August 2022.
