Splash 'Learn to Swim'
Coached by Amateur Swimming Association Level 2 qualified swimming teachers, children on the Splash programme 'learn through fun' by using fun sessions, water activities and games to teach essential swimming skills. Splash is a fast-track swimming programme taking place over the course of a week, helping children to remember what they have learned from one day to the next and enabling them to progress quicker than using weekly lessons. The programme follows the National Plan for Teaching Swimming and every child that attends Splash can gain an award - children can attain NPTS awards if they pass through an NPTS stage and children who do not attain NPTS awards can attain Amateur Swimming Association Duckling Awards. Splash Beginners is for children aged 3-5 years who are happy in the water and need buoyancy aids. Splash Intermediates is for children aged 5-8 years that require few or no buoyancy aids in the water. Children are put into small groups (of 8 children to a coach) in order to ensure they get the care and attention they need. All of our swimming pools and facilities are suitable for beginner swimmers. The week-long programme runs from Monday to Friday. Splash Beginner courses run from 9:10am-10:10am, with Intermediate courses running from 10:20am-11:00am.
Price: ̣̉40 per week or just ̣̉10 if booked with our Kids Camp programme (see website for details).
