Do you love food and want to instill the same love of food in your children? Or perhaps your heart sinks when your kids want to do some cooking? They love it, but you dread the clearing up! Well whatever the case, Little Cookies is an opportunity for pre-schoolers from age 3, and a parent/carer, to have fun with food together in and around St Albans, Hertfordshire. Many parents may be put off letting little ones free in their kitchens at home, but I'm happy for them to get stuck in and be creative. And hopefully, there's the added bonus that they'll eat what they've cooked! For busy parents, or those whose skills lie outside the kitchen, it's a trouble-free way to introduce your children to cooking, and no mess for you to clear up! Children need to learn the importance of good ingredients and how to cook them. If we can encourage an interest in real food early enough, then hopefully it will stay with them for life. Children learn using all their senses - touching, tasting, feeling, smelling and listening. Learning about food and cooking is a great way to do all of these. I hope you'll want to join us!
