Ippon Karate Academy
Ippon Karate Academy teaches traditional Shotokan Karate. It was founded by Chief Instructor Sensei Jason Netherton who has many national titles to his name and has coached competitors to international standard. The academy is affiliated to United Karate Great Britain and runs clubs across Bolton based in schools and the Total Fitness Leisure Clubs.
The Academy currently has over 200 members who train for a minimum of two sessions per week. Karate is a martial arts discipline and helps to promote both self confidence, discipline and respect. The training programme designed by Sensei Jason helps to build strength, stamina and flexibility. Many of the academy's members enter local and national competitions as well as undergoing the grading programme that requires youngsters to perfect the karate routines expected to achieve the coloured belts that karate is famous for!
The local schools hat host Ippon Karate Academy are SS Peter and Paul RC primary School, St Bede's CE Primary school anda St Ethelberts RC Priamary School. Sensei Jason and his team of instructors are looking ot increase the number of venues to host the academy during 2013.
All instructors are fully qualified and CRB checked. The Academy also holds liability insurance on behalf of all its members. Members join on a pay-as-you-train basis with no direct debit system.
There is a very warm atmosphere at the clubs and youngsters are encouraged to join in the many social occasions that are organised during the year.
For more information about joining Ippon Karate Academy please contact Sensei Jason Netherton through the academy website www.ipponkarateacademy.co.uk or ring 07825 176235.
