At Chesfield Downs Golf Club we are committed to the development of junior golf. In 2006 we introduced the 'Young Gun' junior coaching program with two age groups, one for the 4-8 year olds & one for the 9-15 year olds. Both sessions have an award program with two levels, each containing five awards, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond & Platinum. Certificates are awarded for each stage and will be presented at the presentation ceremony at the end of the year.
We also have 3 advanced levels in place when children have completed the scheme, alternatively this can also be used as a starting point for children with the right experience . The sessions are 30 minutes long for the 4-8 yrs & 45 minutes for the 9-15 year olds. Lessons are held at weekdays after school and at weekends. Classes are limited to a maximum of seven children per class.
