The Museum was established in 1989 by Cannock Chase District Council as a Museum serving the Chase area, and seeks to increase access to Culture and Heritage within the Cannock District which includes Cannock, Hednesford and Rugeley. Entrance to the Museum is free. Temporary exhibitions and special events throughout the year complement the museums permanent galleries which include: Miners Cottage local History Gallery Toys & Games (Past and Present) Underground, Overground 1940's Room Open 7 days a week- Easter to October 11am-5pm October- Easter we are open Mon-Fri 11am-4pm
