Matlock Farm Park

Covid-19 Update 17/05/2021

Online tickets available to purchase!

Here at Matlock Farm Park we aim to offer farmyard fun for all ages, all year round, in the fresh air and tranquillity of the countryside! We have a plethora of lovely animals to meet, feed and cuddle, an indoor play barn to have fun in, go-karts to ride around on, a shop to browse and a cosy café to visit. Our riding school is also open all year round and offers lessons or hacking for all abilities as well as short pony rides.

We are delighted to have opened our doors to visitors and our animals are enjoying all the public attention once again.

We encourage visitors to purchase tickets for the farm park online with staggered arrival times (you can stay the rest of the day), however there will also be tickets to buy 'on the door' on the day of your visit. Please note, our mid week, TERM TIME Parent & Toddler Coffee Morning and Senior Citizen Meal Deal offers will only be available to purchase in person at the farm park on the day of visiting (please see our Offers page for more details).

We ask everyone to please SOCIALLY DISTANCE in the car park and in all areas of the farm park. Please note, our RAINFOREST PLAYCENTRE remains closed at this time due to the government guidance from 17 May not lending itself to the layout of our playcentre, including one way system requirements. We hope to be able to re-open The Rainforest on 21 June, pending restrictions easing. Our CAFE building also remains closed until 21 June at the earliest.

Our outdoor play areas, with an exciting new Jumping Pillow (the UK's largest - available in dry weather only)  and Takeaway Catering Outlets, serving delicious food and drinks, are open!

Visitors are able to wander the park at their leisure to pet our friendly animals (including lots of gorgeous babies!) and purchase a bag of animal feed to feed many animals too if they wish to. Visitors can also engage in small animal handling sessions in our re-vamped handling area, with short sessions for individual households, as well as walk through our Wallaby Encounters.

Meerkat talk sessions return as well as being able to watch the bottle feeding of our cade lambs too!

Pony rides are on every weekend and school holiday with tickets available to buy online and at the farm park. Ride times will be displayed once in the farm park.

We are delighted that our Riding School is fully open. All lessons and treks must be pre-booked and early booking is advisable. For any enquiries, please email, including your phone number so our riding manager can call you back.
