Step into what remains of a secret wartime air base, now our Visitor Centre and RAF Defford museum, where thousands of people lived and worked in the 1940s.

Acres of parkland are waiting to be discovered with statues, temples and follies around every corner.

There’s lots of family fun to be had in the wild play area with ‘Swinging Steps’, ‘Rope Walk’ a ‘Wobble Board’ and ‘Log Walk’ and RAF themed playground with swings and slides tucked away near the Visitor Centre.  Venture into the parkland and the new Adam Speaks treehouse with a twist is waiting to be discovered.  Don’t forget a visit to the bird hide and see which of our feathered friends you can spot.  Relax around the lakeside on one of the many deckchairs or find your perfect shady spot to enjoy a picnic.

At the heart of the parkland is Croome Court, the home of the Earls of Coventry. Explore it’s many rooms with displays and exhibitions telling the story of its eclectic past.

Splashing through puddles, crashing along muddy trails and peering through the branches of a woodland den – there’s nothing quite like playing outdoors.

New – Discover our Adam Speaks treehouse with a twist.  The treehouse, which wraps around a giant cedar tree in the parkland, has been built at low level making it accessible to all.

We also have a buggy friendly downloadable walk  https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/Croome%20Autumn%20buggy%20friendly%20walk
