Hengrove Play Park
This is a fantastic park for all ages with sand, water, climbing and it gives children the freedom to explore different age related play areas ensuring kids of all ages are catered for. It's secure, clean and best of all-free!
Facilities and activities:
The play park includes a 12 metre high dome housing a jungle play experience, sand and water play for younger children, large wheels park for skateboarders, in-line skaters and BMX riders, distinct zones with the latest challenging activity equipment, a large central grassed space to run around in, a café, toilets and seating.
The play garden includes an accessible path, grass ââ¬Ëevents' amphitheatre, tunnel through a mound, woodland climbing ropes and slide, balancing beam, rope bridge and towers, telescope lookout deck and lots of grass mounds and space to picnic and safely run around in. The whole garden, which is fenced so as to be dog free, is only accessible through the main play park.
I'd recommend parents/carers take buckets and spades and a change of clothing for the younger children as they tend to get pretty wet and sandy! It's an ideal place to take a picnic and spend a good few hours. Take a bucket & spade for the children and be prepared for them to get their feet wet.
10am - 7pm Monday to Friday and 10am - 6pm Saturday and Sunday. (In Winter opening times are 10am - dusk)
