Hengistbury Head Outdoor Education Centre
The Hengistbury Head Outdoor Education Centre is next to the nature reserve and our beautiful surroundings have direct access to the shallow waters of Christchurch Harbour. Our experienced team of staff ensures that you’ll get the most out of whatever activities you take part in – having fun, staying safe and learning new skills. We have a fleet of professionally maintained craft for, all ages and abilities, together with safety and technical equipment and appropriate clothing, so there’s very little you’ll need to bring yourself. We have plenty of changing room space and hot showers, classrooms for technical lessons and a great BBQs area for use after a party booking with stunning views over the harbour. We’re open seven days a week during the summer and our NGB recognised courses run all year.
We offer family fun sessions, holiday and weekend activities, school trips, celebration events and corporate days.
The Centre has a full-time team of experienced staff with a range of professional qualifications in their field and a passion for outdoor sports. Our teams enthusiasm, local knowledge and expertise ensure that we provide a high-quality, safe and fun environment for everyone to participate in our activities.
The activities that we offer include: Sailing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Stand Up Paddleboarding, Powerboating, Windsurfing, Climbing and Archery.
RYA (Roya Yachting Association) accreditation is available on our Sailing, Windsurfing & Powerboat courses. BCU (British Canoe Union) accreditation is available on our Kayaking and Canoeing courses.

Drive to the end of the Broadway, when you reach the turning circle you can drive straight through the gate in front of you and down a track that takes you to the left where the Centre at the Harbour edge. (Not to be confused with the Hengistbury Head VISITOR Centre)
