Review:

We received the Geosafari My first Microscope during lockdown to test, it was very fortunate that his coincided with the start of home schooling!

We had to do a scavenger hunt in the garden as a school excercise, which this microscope was excellent for.

After collecting some things from the garden, different types of leaves, flowers and a few twigs we then opened the microscope.

The microscope takes 3 aaa batteries in a screw compartment which operate the LED light. We looked at the instructions but really anybody who has used a microscope before can easily operate this then show the children.

We placed the different things we had collected from the garden under the microscope with the light on and used the small wheel at the side to adjust magnification.

The children loved zooming in and out of the different objects, they could see the small details in the bark, leaves and different things 51fd32dbd1920da6b84c33646456303a.jpgwe had found in the garden. It was great watching them explore the wonder of small and detailed things that are right under our noses without realising the amazing nature that is just in our garden.

The children are 4 and 7 but both enjoyed exploring different things and spent a long time playing together which is a huge plus!

The product is well made and sturdy. We were not.worried about the children carrying it around the garden and it felt robust. The colours are bright and cheerful and helps children to want to use it, but once they got started they loved exploring. Great for growing, inquisitive minds.
