New Forest Adventures

663509c80c6159835faba75deade428d.jpg ‘Adventures’ are so much more exciting than ‘days out’ but thankfully we don’t have to fly half way across the world to have one, they’re actually available in a handy family friendly format at New Forest Activities.

Situated on the beautiful Beaulieu Estate in Hampshire the Family Adventure Days and Woodland Adventure Days run regularly, provide all the equipment and staff will make sure you have an excellent (and safe) time!

Feel like doing something a bit different with the children to see Father Christmas this year?  Surprising them with a festive Santa paddle on the Beaulieu River to find Santa is great fun for the family as you get to explore the river on a 90 minute guided tour plus meet Santa.  The children receive a gift and most importantly there’s hot drinks, mulled wine and mince pies when you arrive! – Just make sure you dress warmly

A Winter paddle on the Beaulieu River isn’t just available for visiting Santa, New Forest Activities are offering a special seasonal rate for those who would like to go exploring in either of their stable single seater kayaks or 2 & 3 seater open canoes.  It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner as you’ll receive full instruction and a guide to keep you safe and confident on the water.

A 15% seasonal saver discounts is also available for Family Archery & Family Adventure Days is you use the code ‘Winter15’

Family 36e64beba69a7d51d32b8818f3554381.jpgAdventure Days give you a full days bike hire with all the kit you need, helmets, maps, tag along or trailers for the little ones and expert knowledge on all the important matters such as the best places to stop for lunch and the most child friendly tracks.

You also get to explore the stunning Beaulieu River Nature Reserve in a 90 minute guided canoe trip in one of NFA’s Open ‘Canadian style’ canoes.

For something different from pedalling and paddling Family Woodland Adventures are also available for the all action family aged 8+.

Itineraries change according to the season, weather and the groups interests but will likely include Bushcraft activities around the fire pit. Light a fire and build your own shelter then sit back and admire your handy work with a marshmallow over the fire. You can finish off the morning with archery at the range where targets can be set at various distances and bows of different sizes to cater to all abilities. In the afternoon explore a wide range of Low Ropes Challenges and High Ropes Adventures.

Dates are available all year round with prices for a full days activities;

Sarah from Xercise4Less gives Raring2go! some great ideas for family fun to keep fit and healthy. Don't get stuck indoors just because it is winter. Dark mornings, cold blustery evenings and it seems we would all rather reach for our duvet than even contemplate heading outdoors to get active! Remember it’s only cold when you’re standing still…
