Bolton Metro Swim Stars (BMSS), the town's performance swim squad, is launching their own learn to swim school, BMSS Bubbles.
One of the club's aims is to provide quality coaching for all levels in swimming. The new ââ'¬Ã "Learn to swim schoolââ'¬Ã will cater for all ages from age 3 upwards, including adults. Class sizes will be small with the emphasis being on teaching good technique and essential swim skills. All the programmes run by BMSS operate under the guidance of Emma Swanwick, the clubs Head Coach. Emma has world class status as a swimming coach having worked with many top international athletes. The club has strong links with all local swimming clubs across a wide geographical area. Many of the squad's older swimmers travel from Bury, Chorley,Leyland, Ramsbottom, Wigan and Salford to train with BMSS. However, Bolton's two competitive swimming clubs, Horwich Leisure Centre Amateur Swimming Club and Bolton Swimming Club based at Farnworth Pool remain their largest feeder clubs. BMSS Bubbles members who particularly enjoy swimming will receive guidance on how to progress in the sport to include how they can stay within the BMSS club structure to develop their skills. BMSS also has training groups for youngsters wishing to compete at County, Regional and National level.
