The award-winning babyballet Song and Dance Academy is a wonderfully exciting educational movement to music programme for pre-school boys and girls from 6 months to 6 years. Designed to encourage babies and young children to enjoy the benefits and joys of song and dance from a young age, babyballet has built up a fantastic reputation for providing children with the opportunity to express themselves within a fun, safe and caring environment.
Our classes will be held in Bishop's Stortford on Wednesday mornings at Thorley Community Centre and Saturday mornings at Havers Community Centre.
TWINKLE'S TOTS (6 to 18 months) 9:30am
Twinkle's Tots classes are a musical playtime with singing, mime, toys and socialising for parent/carer and baby to enjoy together. The introduction of movements, activities, props and musical instruments allow the little children to increase bodily awareness and self-control in a relaxed and caring environment whilst discovering the wonder of socialising with other little ones. The classes also offer an excellent social aspect for parents and carers too so you are sure to meet new friends at these welcoming sessions.
TINY TOES (18 months to 3 years) 10:15am
Toddlers and children are encouraged to develop and explore their ability to move, sing and dance further as they progress through the Tiny Toes syllabus. Still with their main carer by their side, these classes are lots of fun and involve lots of smiles and laughter! The basics of ballet are introduced. The dances and songs are thoroughly enjoyed by the little ones and the proud adults alike!
MINI MOVERS (3 to 5 years) 11:05am
The Mini Movers syllabus allows the children to enhance their movement, singing and imaginative ability further. Classes focus on developing gross motor skills, basic ballet, rhythm and confidence so that children feel comfortable in their surroundings and in their own natural ability. Classes are lots of fun and the children love dancing and and singing-a-long to the music. The children learn basic principles and social skills which will serve them well as they approach school age.
MINI GROOVERS 5 to 6 years TBA
Once the children reach school age, the babyballet programme progresses into Mini Groovers. Mini Groovers classes will encourage and improve coordination, balance, self-control, rhythm, musical ability, posture and confidence to a higher level. These classes are for children who love to dance and learn ballet but don't want to feel intimidated by joining a competitive class. These classes are welcoming, fun and a fantastic way to learn new dance routines as well as technique. You are assured a very warm welcome.
We offer a three week introductory trial for £15. I look forward to welcoming you to the magical world of babyballet.
