Ideal Eyewear Flitwick
HERE at ideal eyewear we understand that booking yourself in for an eye test can often feel like a chore. Many will put an eye test off for months, persuading themselves that the recurring headache that they've been having is just down to tiredness.

An eye examination is about more than simply getting a new pair of glasses. This vital health check can identify a number of eye diseases in the early stages, such as cataracts, macular degeneration and glaucoma, which is preventable and can cause blindness.

Eye tests can also pick up on diabetes and high blood pressure. If you have either of these, you will need to have eye tests more frequently to ensure that the retina does not become damaged and to help prevent your vision from getting any worse. If glaucoma runs in the family or if you are diabetic, it is advised that you should have an eye test at least once a year.

Eye tests are vital at all ages. Children rarely complain about their sight, but there are a number of signs that you can watch out for that suggest a trip to the optician is in order, such as sitting too close to the television, blinking a lot, rubbing their eyes and holding objects very close to their face.

To book your eye examination at ideal eyewear, simply give us a call. We are located at The Hawthorns just off the High Street in Flitwick. Our optometrists Sam and Alison and dispensing optician Geri will treat you as an individual, in a caring, friendly, professional and unhurried manner, where your needs and views are their priority.
