Could you be a Contributor for Raring2go!?
Are you interested in writing blogs or articles that would be of interest to our families? Are you an aspiring writer hoping to grab the imaginations of children aged 0-11 years? Do you want to gain experience of writing and get exposure? If your answer is yes to any one of these questions then Raring2go! could be the place for you!
We are currently looking for contributors for our website to feature high quality blogs, articles or even children's stories - if it is of interest to our members then we would like to feature it.
* Are there any specifications for articles?
We ask that articles are at least 500-600 words of unique content (the articles are not featured on any other site or publication). Articles should be written with our target audience in mind. Language must be appropriate. Sloppy and poorly written articles will be declined. All articles must be in English, with proper grammar, and spelling use. Content MUST be original. All articles will be approved by Raring2go!
* Would I need to provide images/artwork?
We ask that you provide a logo if you have one and an image of yourself for the bio. This needs to be 200x200 pixels and 72dpi minimum. If you have artwork you have created, photos you have taken or images you own we would love to include these. We do have the ability to add images if you are unable to supply any.
* How many articles can I write for you?
You can send us as many articles as you wish. We will carefully select articles that are most relevant to our target audience.
* What kind of articles are you looking for?
We are not a parenting site so articles cannot 'tell' parents what they should or shouldn't be doing. Articles should be relevant, timely, even funny days in the lives of... If you take a look at our site you will see different categories - articles can link to these
*Can I use links within the article?
You can use links to other sites, however you must not promote products or companies that are paying you to do so or that you are connected to in any way. Affiliate links are not allowed.
*What is your target audience?
Our target audience is families with children aged 0-11 years. Mums, Dads, Aunties, Uncles, Grandparents are all members on the site - articles can targets these groups, and for aspiring children's writers this is the perfect place as you know we target 0-11 year olds!
*How long will my article be online for?
This completely depends on the content. If it is time specific we will decide on a length of time for the article to be live. If the article is more general there is no 'end date' for the article to be taken down.
*Is there anything else I should know?
We would also love it if you could promote your published feature on your social media accounts and your website if you have one. Our aim is to help you to promote your writing!
* Will I get paid?
No, we are looking for people willing to contribute their work free of charge. Articles will be featured on our website nationally and may be promoted through our social media and e-newsletter. Each article will include your name, a short bio, a link back to your site and contact details.
*How do I submit an article?
Email a short introduction of yourself and your ideas to firstname.lastname@example.org All emails will be replied to.
