Review of Kurio Tab Advance
My 3 year old son has been lucky enough to trial the Kurio Tab Advance with blue protective sleeve recently. On first impression of the tablet it is sleek, thin and very lightweight. The instructions inside the box are very basic and simple with a few trouble shooting hints and tips. The setup of the device was very straight forward and simple to follow. This included language setting and initially setting up a page for parents/guardians where all the key setup information is stored. From here you are able to set up timers and so forth.
Once this was complete we then set up a page for my son which again was simple to do.
The tablet comes with preloaded apps and programmes once the age range is set. We had to set this at age 0-7, the only problem with this is that some of the apps are a little outside my sons development range and possibly a little inappropriate.
The tablet is relatively straight forward to manage and work your way around. Bearing in mind my son is 3 he is able to, once switched on for him, select his favourite apps or programmes.
There appears to be something along the lines of a blue light filter that automatically filters the screen once you swap to the child's page which does effect the clarity of the display, however this does not hinder the overall use.
The tablet is good value for money, I would not want to spend anymore on a tablet of this quality but it makes for a good first tablet for little ones to explore, learn and discover.
The premium tablet includes a 7 inch HD screen with a full surround anti-shock bumper, Blue light protection (software to help protect the users eyes), 16 GB of memory allowing more space for apps, new weekly educational app content delivery, photos and videos, and the tablet is loaded with the latest Android OS platform (6.0 Marshmallow). Kurio have introduced new STEM and Coding apps to deliver further educational benefits to the child. Kurio Tab Advance is pre-loaded with lots of apps and games (including Motion Gaming), so that children can play and surf as soon as they open the box.
My name is Charlotte, myself and my husband Colin have been married for almost 11 years. We have two beautiful children, Florence who is 7 and Maximus who is 4. As a family we love nothing more than walking our gorgeous dog, Willow, getting messy and creative and snuggling up to watch a multitude of films together!
