Review of Hape Little Red Rider
Put your best foot forward with Hape’s Little Red Rider, the quality wooden walker encouraging early walking from as young as 12 months +, as well as nurturing your child’s sense of balance. But when they’re too tired to walk the Little Red Rider cleverly transforms into a foot powered ride-on for additional hours of fun, offering a trunk to store away your little one’s toys helps encourage pretend play by transporting their favourite animals, dolls or blocks.
Hape’s Little Red Rider is available to buy online for £52.99 from Amazon.
My 15 month old loves testing out the Hape "Little Red Rider." It was very easy to assemble, I just needed to attach the handle bars with the screws provided and it was ready to be played with.
It's a beautiful wooden ride on, the first thing that caught my eye was the large handle bars, they're a lovely stand out feature. The rubber texture provides good grip and they're positioned at a higher level than most ride on toys.
My son climbed on the ride on with minimal effort and found it easy to move both forwards and backwards. It didn't take him long to notice that the gap under the seat could be used to store and transport his toys. He spent ages filling and emptying the space with little cars and then riding around with them underneath. He also used the ride on as a walker, standing in front of it, holding onto the handle bars and pushing it like a trolley.
It's very sturdy, my three year old also enjoys riding on it. He told me "It's really cool, I can go really fast!"
Overall, both my children love the "Little Red Rider," it's well made, looks great, has multiple uses and moves forwards and backwards with ease.
