Experts have been reiterating the need for a summer of play since the spring, to allow children to recover from the stress of the pandemic year, encouraging them to spend time outdoors, being physically active, and most importantly, having fun!
This inspired Z-arts to set up their very own Summer of Play, and they are very excited to be programming a number of fantastic family shows and events throughout the summer to encourage their families to get outdoors and take part.
They are looking to support children’s mental health with a mixture of free and low-cost events running through the summer months, from Hulme Park to Homeground. There’s something for everyone in Z-arts' Summer of Play! Following a year spent mostly indoors, they invite children and families to join them as we discover theatre and magic outdoors!
Free events in Hulme Park (please note, that these currently do not need to be booked, and families can just turn up on the day, but do keep an eye on our website in case this has to change due to any new government guidelines).
