VSA: Easter Anguston Farm
Easter Anguston Farm comprises 70 Acres of arable land, used as a working farm with 20 acres woodland.
The Service aims to develop the trainees' vocational knowledge, skills and understanding in agriculture, horticulture or some other sphere. Strong emphasis is placed on developing their personal social skills and the development of recreational and leisure interests so that they may function as independently as possible in the community. Trainees are taught a variety of land based skills in key areas such as horticulture, livestock and arable farming, rural skills and conservation. Each trainee has a personal training plan introduced to their everyday work schedule which increases their skills in core areas.
The farm shop and garden centre, where trainees sell their own home grown fruit, vegetables and bedding plants, add to the range of training opportunities. Trainees are encouraged to take part in regular sporting activities at the farm and the on-site sports field is well used. The local sports centre in Peterculter is also regularly accessed during the winter months.
The farm is also open to the public and provides the following visitor attractions:
- Cafe - open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm.
- Farm Shop
- Garden Centre
- Children's play area Animals (goats, pigs, sheep, mini donkeys, alpacas, shetland ponies, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, aviary birds etc.)
- Nature trails

Naughty but nice Puddings!
Check out our delicious puddings, my favourite is the limoncello trifle, not suitable for the kids, but there are some other scrummy recipes that the whole family can enjoy! Take a look in our pudding section for recipes to make summer BBQ's and eating alfresco all the more tasty! My girls LOVE the chocolate pizza - making it, but mostly eating it!
Over the weekends and holidays there are always times when your children need some chill out time, or to fill an hour or so, or they say the dreaded 5 letter word - BORED! Well, our KidsZone is here to rescue you and them from these moments. Full of puzzles, colouring in sheets and activities from films and programmes there is lots to keep busy!
