Robert Gordon’s College: providing the very best start for your child

Robert Gordon’s College offers the very best start for pupils, combining traditional values with high quality teaching in a state-of-the-art school. Independence, innovation and curiosity is encouraged from an early age allowing children to learn to make decisions for themselves. This prepares children for the ever-changing world with resilience to cope with challenges they may meet on their journey.

Nursery children learn through play and develop a love of lifelong learning. The new Nursery creates a stimulating and supportive environment where children learn through play with specialist teaching in Art, French, Music and PE. Full day, morning and afternoon places for ante pre-school and pre-school are available and Aberdeen City Council Early Learning and Childcare Funding is available.

The vibrant and modern Junior School offers an action-packed curriculum with specialist subject teaching and a vast range of opportunities available at clubs, trips and competitions from Primary 1 through to Primary 7.

Sarah Webb, Head of Nursery and Junior School shared, “We believe that learning should be enjoyable and fun, as happy, motivated children will be successful and achieve their full potential.”

The tradition of academic success is underlined by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Education commenting that “Learning and teaching is of high quality and there are examples of outstanding practice. Children and young people enjoy learning and respond very well to the caring ethos.”
