The go-to guide for you and your child

Santa Bookings are open for the Severn Valley Railway

The sun may be shining, but it’s never too early to line up some festive family fun. The Severn Valley Railway will be open for bookings on its ever-popular Santa services from 11am next Tuesday, 6th July.

Passengers will join the special services at Kidderminster Town station, where they’ll be greeted by a winter wonderland display of Christmas trees, singing reindeer and Santa’s sleigh. There’ll be complimentary cold drinks for children, hots drinks in a special travel mug for adults, and a sweet treat for all.

Then it’s a vintage steam train journey with a reserved compartment or table to Arley station. Here, passengers disembark and enter a magically decorated marquee to enjoy a pantomime, featuring Father Christmas and a pair of extremely mischievous elves. A brand-new character will be joining the cast, for an all-new festive show with plenty of laughs, thrills and spills.

Back on the train, each child will discover a present with their name on, containing a premium gift.

The journey and pantomime performance last around two-and-a-half hours, and are guaranteed to help create wonderful family memories.

Santa services on the Severn Valley Railway begin on 26th November and run on selected days until 24th December. Online bookings open at 11am on Tuesday 6th July at svr.co.uk, where there’s more information, and phone bookings can be made by calling 01562 757900.
