A summer of fun down on Lower Drayton Farm

Lower Drayton Farm

If you head down to PLAY@ Lower Drayton Farm this summer, you’re in for a real treat! Lying just a mile off J13 of the M6 it offers a packed day out in the country for all members of the family…

Explore the great outdoors (and the great indoors, too!)

lower drayton farm - outdoor playFamilies can explore the 2000sqm indoor play barn – a space dedicated to action and adventure, featuring huge Astro racing slide, gravity drop slides, Ninja llama run and much more. A baby area dedicated to little ones under 2 and a toddler play space packed with imaginative role-play opportunities and lots of climbing, sliding, spinning fun for under-5s with energy to burn ensures hours of fun.

Outdoors, the adventure continues with activities that include racing zipwires, grass toboggans, bouncy pillows, Farm-u-la One Go Kart track, Treetop Towers climbing frame, woodland playground and sand and water play. Animal lovers will delight in the chance to pet friendly rabbits and Guinea Pigs, and get up close with goats, pigs, cattle and other farmyard favourites. Best of all, grown-ups are encouraged to join in on all the activities – unleashing their inner child and show the kids how brave they are on the drop slides before racing them down the zipwire.

When you’ve worked up an appetite, the farm’s Honeypots Café offers a selection of delicious hot and cold meals, drinks, cakes and snacks; while Marshfields Farm ice cream in a variety of flavours is the perfect way to cool down on a hot day. Picnics are also welcome in the dedicated indoor and outdoor picnic zones.

Learn all about farming & the environment

lower drayton farm - animalsSet on a 750-acre working farm, PLAY@ Lower Drayton Farm also offers an insight into farming and its role in the environment. Farmers Richard and Ray are passionate about sharing your food’s farm to fork journey; explaining farming’s role in conservation and their mission to meet net zero carbon targets. Visitors will learn all this and more on the farm’s legendary tractor trailer ride.

Go on a dino discovery adventure!

August visitors are in for even MORE fun – with the launch of the farm’s NEW interactive Dino Discovery Maize Maze!

They’ll be enlisted to help the farm’s resident palaeontologist on a quest to bring the dinosaurs that once roamed the fields back from extinction. With time-travelling tractors, dino facts, trails and interactive fun and games the 5-acre ‘T-Rex-ifying’ maize maze will offer lots of extra entertainment, with a special mini maze for younger visitors to explore.
