Jubilee celebrations at Wallington

Treasure Trail – Head inside the house to seek out Wallington’s jewels. A trail of treasure chests will take you on a tour of the house – can you find them all? You’ll see many fascinating objects including Sir Charles and Lady Mary Trevelyan’s personal invitation to the Coronation. Saturday 28 May to Sunday 5 June. 11.30am- 3.30pm. Free activity. Normal admission charges apply.

Help make the Wallington bunting – Pop along with the whole family and enjoy decorating your own bunting triangle to be added to the Wallington Jubilee bunting. Monday 30 May to Thursday 2 June, 11am to 3pm. Free activity. Normal admission charges apply.

Duck races – Bring your best cheering voices for duck races on the river. Head along the river walk from the west woods, past the play train and along towards Trout Bridge where you can choose your lucky duck to enter the duck races. Three races per day at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 2.30pm. Choose your duck from 11am for the 11.30am race, from 1pm for the 1.30pm race and from 2pm for the 2.30pm race. £2 per duck. Prizes for the first 3 across the line in each race. There will be a maximum of 50 ducks in each race. Thursday 2 and Friday 3 June.

Crown making – Create your own crown to celebrate the Jubilee. Pop along with the whole family and enjoy making your own crown to use in your Jubilee celebrations. Friday 3, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June, 11am to 3pm. Free activity. Normal admission charges apply.

Climb aboard a carriage – This Jubilee, the Wallington carriages will be out on display in the Courtyard. Enjoy the 4 beautiful and historic carriages and even take a seat for that perfect family photo. Make your way across the courtyard lawn where carriages from the collection will be waiting. Dress up in robes and climb aboard the beautiful Victorian carriage for the perfect regal photo opportunity. Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June, 11am to 3pm. Free event. Normal admission charges apply.

Live music in the courtyard – No celebration is complete without music! Dance the day away to the sounds of live music playing in the Wallington courtyard. On Sunday 5 June, join staff and volunteers for a good old knees up to live music in the courtyard. The courtyard will be just the spot to soak up the Platinum Jubilee atmosphere. Bring a picnic and treat yourselves to a glass of Prosecco or ice cream from the kiosk. And why not turn back time by dressing in your fifties finery.

Cycle hire is open every day in half term, from 10am to 4.30pm (last hire 3.30pm) and of course 4 fun play areas (Play fort, Play train, Adventure playground and Little Acorns Nature play space).
